Q: What do I need to do to prepare for a carpet cleaning visit? A: Thank
You for trusting Clearly Clean with your carpet cleaning needs. Some suggestions to prepare for our carpet cleaning
include: - Please remove small items and breakable items from the areas to be cleaned. This could include items
such as plants, vases, small lamps, etc.
- Generally you can leave larger items in place such as chairs, couches,
and recliners. We usually slide these items to one part of the room, clean under them, and then slide them back.
We then place plastic tabs under the legs to keep the legs from contacting the moist carpet.
- Some items that we do
not move include computers, entertainment centers, china cabinets, and sectional sofas. However, the carpets underneath
can be cleaned when there is sufficient room underneath. Otherwise, we will clean around the edges.
- You do not
have to vacuum the carpets in advance. We will do this when we clean.

Q: What process do you use to clean carpets?
A: In most instances we will opt to use powerful truck
mounted "steam" cleaning equipment and Green Seal certified products from Bridgepoint. However, Clearly clean
arrives ready to clean with ALL of the major cleaning processes. We will work with you to choose an appropriate
process consistent with the carpet manufactures recommendations and your desires. Please let us know if you have sensitivities
to any cleaning products, prefer ultra fast dry times, or if you have other considerations.

Q: How long does it take for
my carpets to dry? A: When we are done cleaning, the carpets will be damp
to the touch. Drying time is usually from 4 to 8 hours and varies depending on the room temperature, humidity, type
of carpet, and weather conditions. Basement carpet installed on a concrete floor can take longer. If drying time
is a major concern, talk to us about our ultra fast drying options.

Q: Are your products safe?
Can you use Green Seal approved products? A: Our preference is to use all
Green Seal approved products from Bridgepoint. Green Seal only certifies products that are safe for the environment
and minimize negative health impacts. We do other things beyond just the products that we use to minimize environmental
and health impacts. For example, we use a Green Seal approved vacuum cleaner which filters fine dust particles out of
the air and does not allow them to recirculate into your home. Additionally, our truck mount cleaning system is certified
by Green Seal at their "Gold" level. This is the highest rating available. This means
it effectively removes cleaning solutions from your carpets while leaving virtually no residual product. Finally,
we discharge our waste water in an approved sewer treatment facility instead of on-site disposal. By doing
so, the waste products do not migrate into the waterways. We acknowledge that green cleaning
products are not always effective on all stains and heavy soiled carpets. When we encounter these situations, we will
alter the products to improve the cleaning outcome for these areas. Examples where we commonly use alternative
products include urine removal processes, ink and coffee stains, and heavy traffic areas such as stairs. Please
let us know if you have other preferences.
Q: Can you solve my pet odor
problems? A: Pet odor is code for pee. In most cases, we can
solve pet odor issues and at a very reasonable cost. Preferred Method The soiled areas can usually be identified using an ultraviolet light or a device called a hydrometer. Once
we identify the issues, we pre-treat with a urine solvent and clean the carpets. After cleaning we apply a
combination of products for odor elimination. These include an enzyme which addresses remaining bacteria issues
and works over time to prevent a re-occurrence of odor, a pairing agent for immediate odor control, and a deodorant to treat
the air. Please note that we use products in this process that are not green or environmentally friendly. Our preferred method is a surface treatment that usually results in substantial odor elimination.
This is the only treatment most customers need. Other Processes The variable with animal urine is knowing the depth and extent of contamination. This is not
always obvious. Sometimes animal urine penetrates below the carpets and into the sub-floor. It can also be
present in the baseboard and walls. We have treatments for these situations and would discuss them on a case-by-case
basis. These more extensive processes are not common.
